South Thames College
South Thames College is a vibrant Further & Higher Education college in south west London. The College offers a range of courses including a variety of Apprenticeships from hairdressing to business administration and civil engineering.
The College has benefited from a £140 million investment in recent years meaning its facilities are unmatched in the region. Motorcycle apprentices benefit from modern and spacious workshops while hairdressing apprentices use a commercial hair salon. The College has been at the heart of the community since 1895 and is committed to being an outstanding and inclusive College.
South Thames College currently offers a number of Apprenticeship courses. All these courses are work-based qualifications and candidates on these courses are employed full-time. As well as full-time employment all candidates attend training either at our college or on-site, normally one day a week in college and the rest of the week with their employer. A successful apprentice gains skills and an industry recognised qualification that gives them a great start in their profession. Their employers benefit from value-added training that is tailored to specific requirements.
We offer two levels of Apprenticeship at South Thames. Intermediate (Level 2) and Advanced (Level 3). A level 2 Apprenticeship will last between 12-24 months and a level 3 will last from 18 Months to 3 years. We also help our apprentices find jobs using the apprenticeship vacancy service. Employers advertise their vacancies using this service and we try to match as many apprentices with the right employer as we possibly can.
