Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity as part of your career development? Southwark Traded Services has apprentice training positions for a fixed term of 2 years to 4 years dependent on level and type of apprenticeship.

If your answer is yes we have apprenticeship vacancies in our service that might be right for you.

Carpentry Level 2 - 2 positions
You will develop your skills for a career in the repairs and maintenance industry, repairing windows and doors the fitting of kitchens and fire safety work.

Plumbing Level 2 - 2 positions
You will develop your skills to carry out a range of repairs and maintenance across the spectrum of domestic residential property.


Southwark Council’s Apprenticeship Programme will allow you to gain a professional level of practical skills with excellent on and off the job training. You will follow a course of study one day a week with a designated learning provider to attain a qualification that meets the requirements of National Occupational Standards at the required level.

You will work alongside our various teams playing an important role across a range of activities as well as being encouraged to work independently whilst always receiving appropriate guidance and mentoring from our experienced managerial and technical staff.

To thrive in these roles you will need to be flexible, passionate and keen to build a professional career. All we ask of you is a minimum of 5 GCSEs grade A to C / 9 to 4 including maths and English or equivalent and a genuine commitment to both the work and study programme.
