The role

We are on the lookout for our next group of star apprentices to help deliver ‘award winning’ excellent customer service which Southwark Councils Contact Centre is renowned for.

Through support, coaching and development, we can help you take the next step in your career by participating in our Customer Service apprenticeship program within our Customer Experience division.

A little about what’s involved
You’ll be involved in working directly with customers, assisting them to access a wide range of council services at our busy telephone Contact Centre. You will benefit from attending workshops and other training activities to develop your knowledge and skills. We operate in a friendly team environment, so expect to feel like part of the ‘family’ when you attend during our standard working hours of 8.30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Through practical hands on experience, mixed in with workshop based training, you will be equipped to jumpstart your career with a nationally recognised qualification from The Chartered Institute of Housing and a wealth of on-the-job experience.

There will be opportunities to work across multiple areas within our division, providing you with valuable exposure and experience to take on the world of Housing and customer experience!

So, lets talk about you..
So long as you have 5 GCSEs at grade A to C or the equivalent including Math and English, aged over 16, able to work full time and have a passion for learning we want to hear from you! Good written and verbal communication skills are also vital.
