Job Description

At Surrey Square, we aim to give our amazing childrenthe very best.  We have a vacancy for a full time (25 hours a week)Higher Level assistant to join our team.

The position includes:

- Supporting individuals and/ or groups of children (under the direction of the class teacher)

- Assisting with the preparation of the learning environment

- Maintaining pupil records

- Supporting specific individual children with SEND

- Leading the class in the absence of the class teacher

We are looking for people who:

- Are keen to join our amazing team of support staff

- Have experience of working with childrenin an educational setting

- Have level 2 in literacy, numeracy and ICT

- Hold the HLTA qualification

- Are enthusiastic, hard working and interested in furthering their own learning

- Experience of workign with children with SEND

You are welcome to come and visit the school by appointment.  This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.  Previous employment references will be taken up at shortlist.
