Job Description

Bede House Association has been helping local people improve life for themselves, their
families and the community in Southwark since 1938. Our New Bede Centre is being built on the
Abbeyfield Estate, as part of the redevelopment of Maydew House. Bede’s youth clubs, our
services for adults who have a learning disability, and our practical and emotional help for those
experiencing domestic abuse are all running as normal whilst we prepare for our move to the
New Bede Centre in 2021/22.
Support Workers,
Bede Learning Disabilities Service, Southwark
Number of days per week negotiable
(maximum 30 hours over five days, minimum 6 hours over one day)
All days worked between 9.30am and 3.30pm (full days only)
Monday to Friday.
£11.80p per hour plus auto-enrolment pension scheme
We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible staff with previous experience of supporting people
who have a learning disability to fulfil their potential. You will work with individuals and small
groups in a range of community and centre based activities such as supported volunteering,
leisure, arts, cooking, gardening, sport, social opportunities and employment. Some clients
have complex needs.
